Send us a text

It is okay, that you are not okay!

In this episode I discuss:

  • The struggle that moms have with balancing everything in their lives and making time for themselves.
  • The importance of reaching out to someone (therapist, doctor) that can help before things get out of hand.
  • The time it all clicked for me.

Vernae:

Hey everybody. Thanks for joining me. You are tapped into the Listening Ears podcast with me, your host, Vernae, Bezear. I want to get a message out. I want to be an example for other people. I've been that in my life for a long time, but not in this, This kind of arena or phase in my life. I was somebody that people looked to for advice, for support, for a shoulder to lean on or an ear to bend. And I've, I assumed that role, right?

:

That that was a role that I seemed to enjoy. And I took great pride in, and It was my thing. Until one day I realized that Because I had portrayed myself as that person(and I was that person don't get me wrong). I wasn't making space for me. I wasn't making space for myself. And it wasn't as if the people around me didn't reach out because they did. I had just had up this Wall or I created this persona that Made it seem like I didn't need any of that. And I most absolutely did. I needed support. I needed an ear to bend. So I guess I just wanna say that its okay to ask for help. It's okay. To need a hand. It's okay. Not to have all The answers, Talk to someone that you love and trust, Get a counselor or a therapist. If you need one, There are people out there who can help! If you liked any of what I just said or any of what I said resonated with you, You can like comment, share, send me a message.
