Speaker 1:

Buddy you are tapped into the listening ears podcast with your host, meet Verne Bair lately. I've been thinking about this word intentionality. What is intentionality for me? Intentionality is being intentional with my thoughts, actions and words. I've had the power to shape my life into what I wanted to become. And this power has helped me to create a sense of clarity. So it's pretty much me saying, this is what I want to happen. And this is the course that I'm going to take in order for it to happen, whether it be through my thoughts or my actions or my words, when you live with intention, it means that you are constantly communicating with yourself. You're wondering if what you're doing is working and if it's not why, and then making small adjustments every day in order for you to live the life that you love being intentional or

In purpose allows you to feel accomplished. It helps you to understand the bigger picture and also understand how interconnected and fragile our life is. Intentionality in our focus ensures that every task we are doing in some way, shape or form is forum is related to a particular end goal, right? So in a way, it creates a sense of tunnel vision and helps us into working and spending time on the things that matter the most to us, it creates a sense of confidence. We're making choices and decisions on what's important to us, and it feels good. It feels, it feels alright. Being more intentional with my time and energy has helped me to spend less time doing things I don't enjoy and more time doing things. I do enjoy that align to my bigger future picture as well as my family's collective goals. So instead of sitting back and saying, well, this is life, and this is the hand that I've been given and allowing things to happen, right? To happen to me passively, I can become an active participant and set my sights on a particular goal or endpoint end point and do the things to Make it happen every day. Living with intentionality doesn't in any way, shape or form mean that my life is perfect because I can vouch for myself and say that it isn't. But what I have been able to appreciate and really love is the fact that my life is purposeful and it's focused on the things that make me happy and the things that I want to do that are aligned to my end goal. And I focus on the word, my it's almost as if it's idolized, because when you're living and being intention or living with intentionality, you are living with your goals and your end game in mind. Some simple ways that I have begun to practice intentionality are by practicing gratitude each and every day, by defining my life's purpose and asking myself, what is it, do I want out of life identifying and setting goals and really making sure that these goals that I've set are manageable and reachable. So in a sense of smart goal, I've become more self-aware, I've acted myself a thousand times. Why am I doing this? Or how was this working for me? I've created daily routines and habits, such as Lots of journal writing, being reflective, exercising, taking some time to meditate, practicing positive self talk. And most importantly, for me protecting my peace and being aware of what I am consuming or what I'm letting consume me. So for me, knowing that life is ever changing and I can only control my thoughts and my actions helps me stay in a place of intentionality and focus. I am lately<laugh> willing and ready to adjust and reflect based on new information or changing conditions because I am focused on my end goal. What are your thoughts? What are your thoughts on intentions? Do you move in or with intentionality and how is it working for you?
