Celebrating three years of the Listening Ears podcast with a reflection on the power of the liminal space – that messy, in-between place where authentic creation happens. We explore why your voice matters most when you're in transition, and how sharing from uncertainty creates deeper connections than waiting for perfect clarity.

• The liminal space is the uncertainty between who you've been and who you're becoming
• Life's richest moments often happen in the messiness of the middle
• Creating from uncertainty is messy but authentic and magnetic
• You don't need all the answers to share wisdom – your story is worthy exactly as it is
• Practical steps: give yourself permission to be imperfect, document your journey authentically
• Honor your pace – productivity looks different in transition periods
• Small, courageous steps matter more than large finished outcomes

Share how you're creating in your in-between season to help others find our community. Thank you for three incredible years of growing and listening together.

Vernae:

Hello my beautiful souls and welcome back to a very special episode of Listening Ears podcast. I am your host, Vernae, and today is an especially meaningful episode because this week marks the three-year anniversary of our Listening Ears community. Thank you deeply for walking this path with me, for sharing your journeys, your reflections and, most of all, your hearts. Today's episode is inspired by something deeply personal and universally powerful the liminal space power. The liminal space that is the space that is messy. It's the in-between where life happens most vividly. It's about creating even when everything feels uncertain and unfinished. So let's dive into this honest and heartfelt conversation. Let's start by naming what the liminal space is. It's uncertainty, it's the rawness between heartbreak and healing, the pause between leaving a job and starting anew. It's the place between who you've been and who you're becoming. Oftentimes we think we need clarity or healing or even completion to begin something meaningful, but the truth is, life's richest moments often happen right here, in the messiness of the middle. Creating in this in-between isn't neat or predictable. It's messy, but it's also deeply authentic and magnetic.

Vernae:

When you speak from this space, you speak with honesty and courage. You're saying to the world and, most importantly, yourself, that your voice doesn't need perfect conditions to be valuable. Maybe you're journaling through uncertainty, painting through grief, or even building a business when clarity feels distant. Your voice, your art, your contribution it still matters. Your voice, your art, your contribution it still matters, perhaps more now than ever, because it's actually rooted in authenticity. Remember, you don't have to have all the answers to share your wisdom, your story, what you have to say is worthy exactly as it is right now, in this very moment.

Vernae:

How do you practically create from this space of uncertainty? Let's explore some gentle steps together. First, give yourself permission to be imperfect. It's your journey that matters more than perfection. Next, document your journey. Share openly about your process, your learnings, your emotions. Authenticity creates connection and vulnerability breeds community. I think I received the most downloads that I've ever received when I shared authentically about my breakdown that I had a few years ago, and I remember just how vulnerable it was for me just to put myself out there with my story. But I also remembered how beautiful it was to be able to connect with people who either experienced the same thing or understood where I was going through. Finally, honor your pace. Recognize that productivity looks different everywhere you go. Celebrate small, courageous steps rather than large finished outcomes.

Vernae:

Creating isn't about doing a checklist. It's more about expressing your truth. As we mark three years of Listening Ears podcast, let's pause together and honor this beautiful liminal space, this space of becoming. If you're tired, healing, transitioning or feeling uncertain, yet you're still bravely showing up each and every day. I see you and I honor you. Today, I encourage you to keep speaking from the heart of the in-between. Your story, exactly as it is, matters deeply. Share your journey the messy, the beautiful, the unfinished self that you are and watch how your honesty inspires and sparks others. If this episode resonated with you, share it with someone else who might need this gentle encouragement, and I'd love to hear your story. Share with me how you're creating your in-between season. It helps others like you grow and find our beautiful community. Thank you, my friends, for three incredible years. Here's to the in-between, here's to authenticity and here's to many more years together, growing and listening. Until next time, keep creating from exactly where you are.
